About Fine Spotted

Fine Spotted Fly Fishing is built on a simple idea: great days on the water come from intention, not excess.

We guide across Jackson Hole’s most productive fisheries with a focus on detail—reading water carefully, adapting to conditions, and meeting each angler where they are. No rushed days, no one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether you’re refining technique or simply looking to fish in remarkable places like the Snake River, Green River, Gros Ventre, and more, each trip is shaped to feel deliberate, immersive, and worth your time on the water.

Our Jackson Hole Fishing Guides

Meet Your Guides

A great day on the water comes down to the person beside you. Our guides combine local knowledge with a thoughtful, adaptive approach, so you’re not just fishing, you’re fishing well.

Fine Spotted fly fishing guide Brandon headshot

Brandon Morgan

Brandon grew up fishing the waters of East Tennessee and North Georgia, spending as much time on the river as he could from a young age. What started as a passion turned into a profession, and for the past four years he’s been guiding locally, helping others experience the same love for fishing that he has.

When Brandons not on the water, he’s a husband and father to three kids. Brandon and his family love spending their time fishing and hiking together, enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer.

Fine Spotted fly fishing guide Boston headshot

Boston Heil

Boston Heil is 25 years old and is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. He has a very strong passion for the outdoors and enjoys every day that he is outside. Boston loves spending most of his days in the summer on the river, either floating or fishing.

Kyle Hatlen

Kyle Hatlen, 31, was born in the picturesque state of Colorado, where his passion for fishing began. From the moment he picked up a fly rod, he was hooked, and his love for the sport has only grown since. Kyle is not just a dedicated angler; he is also a hardworking individual who enjoys discussing various insects and expertly tying flies. His commitment to the fishing community is evident through his role as a board member of Thermopolis Trout Unlimited, where he actively contributes to the preservation and enhancement of trout habitats. With a deep appreciation for nature and a lifelong dedication to fishing, Kyle’s journey is one of enthusiasm and expertise in the world of fly fishing.

Fine Spotted fly fishing guide jack headshot

Jack Lubin

Jack grew up in Hartford, Connecticut, bass fishing local waters before discovering a passion for trout. He learned to fly fish on the Farmington River and would later spend the rest of his free time exploring the East Coast’s trout and limestone streams. After high school, he moved to Idaho to pursue fly fishing full-time.

Jacks goal is to create a fun, safe, and relaxing experience on the water.

Be Prepared For A Perfect Trip

Not at all. Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’re a seasoned angler, our guides tailor the day to your experience level.

All essential gear, flies, and terminal tackle are provided, along with drinks and light snacks—so you can focus on enjoying your day on the water.

We recommend weather-appropriate clothing, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and any personal items you’d like for the day.

Yes, we practice catch and release to help preserve healthy fisheries for future generations.

Absolutely. Depending on conditions and your preference, we can accommodate fly fishing, spin fishing, or a mix of both.

At the time of booking, we will decide on the best meeting location. Your guide will text you the day before the trip to confirm the time and location. If you do not have a rental car, we can pick you up. For guests with a rental car, we appreciate meeting at designated locations, as some hotels and neighborhoods are tight for the guide to drive their boat through.

Our age minimum is 4 years old for boat trips and 7 years old for walk and wade trips.

Our traditional boats have a guest weight limit of 500lb, and our group and family big boats have a weight limit of 750lb.

If your trip consists of 1 or 2 boats and/or guides, there is a 14-day cancellation policy. A 3% cancellation fee will be assessed on all refunds outside of 14 days.

If your trip consists of 3 or more boats and/or guides, there is a 30-day cancellation policy. A 3% cancellation fee will be assessed on all refunds outside of 30 days.
